On boxing day Suz and I had an engagement BBQ for friends and family. On the 29th we headed over to Regan's 30th. I haven't accomplished much over the holidays...have to change that.
Last night Suz and I drove into town to hunt down the White Lady Burger Bus and try one of there overpriced burgers. The $15.00 White Lady burger is very large and very tasty, but pricy. Still, we'll probably go again.
This morning travelled with Suz to Pukekohe Raceway. I suppose I have been spoiled with all the cameras that TV provides; as it just doesn't seem as thrilling from the stands.
I'm learning Java again as I need a language that is client-side web friendly and is faster than Javascript. Might even write a few Java Apps. Things are getting a bit out of hand as I am working with MySQL, PHP, CSS, HTML and Javascript for Skagerrak Software and working on Java, Kepler/Lua, XHTML and Sqlite at home.
As a matter of interest, Google has released a phone OS called Android, where anyone can write java apps that can control the phone's features. Existing Java phone apps, take time to load and are prevented from accessing the phone's functions. I can seriously see myself writing apps for this and I can't wait to get my hands on one of these. If there was ever an iPhone killer coming, this is it.
